I have to preface this by saying I've always had a good experience with MAG VW service, but unfortunately internal miscommunications and VW corporate tech error led to some pretty serious issues that honestly has been making me question purchasing a VW in the future. The story: Brought it in for "travel assist unavailable" error. Shared a video showing that pressing on the steering wheel could trigger and/or affect the error. After tech analyzed, was told that it wasn't covered under warranty since I had lowering springs, even though it was clear that the steering wheel was the problem and unrelated to the lowering springs. I was told that the only way it could possibly be covered is if I reinstalled factory springs and the error still occurred, which everyone knows I wouldn't do. After coming in to talk to the manager this morning, I brought this up to the manager an the tech that actually worked on the car and the tech immediately knew that the problem was the steering wheel since it's been occurring on Arteons and Golf R's. Apparently the video was never shared with the tech previously, so the tech could only see that there were communication errors but he didn't know it was specific to the steering wheel. I had even contacted VW Care last night, which said they couldn't override what the service department said. This was a VERY stressful situation for something that would have never happened had the video I supplied been shared with the tech. I still wound up paying for the loaner car, which shouldn't have occurred in this situation either.
